    Founded in 1954 by Russell K. Wheeler, Pensacola Testing Laboratories, Incorperated has been locally owned and operated since its beginning. Our building encompasses over 8,000 square feet, including offices, laboratory, and shop areas.

     Pensacola Testing Laboratories is equipped in general accordance with ASTM D-3740 (Standard Practice for Evaluation of Agencies Engaged in the Testing and/or Inspection of Soil and Rock as used in Construction) and ASTM E-329 (Standard Recommended Practice for Inspection and Testing Agencies for Concrete, Steel, and Bituminous Materials as used in Construction). The laboratory is annually certified by the Construction Materials Engineering Council of Florida (CMEC) and qualified by the Florida FDOT.

     All sampling and testing is performed in general accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, Florida D.O.T., U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or other applicable testing procedures. Our soils and materials laboratory has been approved by the Corps of Engineers and the Florida D.O.T. for performing soil classification, general property tests, concrete and asphalt testing. Furthermore, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Bureau of Ships has approved our facilities for performing non-destructive metals testing.

     Pensacola Testing Laboratories services cover a broad range of construction, engineering and industrial testing and inspection including soil testing, concrete testing, materials research & developement, concrete and asphalt mix designs, ground penetrating radar GPR, geotechnical engineering, geotechnical drilling, environmental drilling, monitor wells, consulting, non-destructive testing, X-ray and Gamma radiography, liquid penetrant testing, welding certification and OSHA certification programs.
